  Registration - Program Rules

Eligibility: Individuals 5 years and older, employed or residing in the counties of Calumet, Outagamie, or Winnebago, Wisconsin can participate in Walk to Win. Persons living outside these counties may participate; however they are not eligible for prizes. Children ages 5-17 must have parental/guardian consent to participate.

Dates: Walk to Win begins August 27, 2009 and ends December 1, 2009. Walkers should log minutes walked during this time.

Registration: Register online @ www.walktowin.org or by printed registration form available at the Appleton YMCA, Fox West YMCA, Heart of the Valley YMCA, Neenah-Menasha YMCA, Oshkosh YMCA's, or the following public health departments: City of Appleton, City of Menasha, City of Neenah, Calumet County, Outagamie County, and Winnebago County. Individuals must register to be eligible for prizes.

Pick up your registration form at the kick off on August 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Shattuck Park – 100 E. Wisconsin Ave, Neenah, WI or after August 27 at any of the four YMCA of the Fox Cities locations, Oshkosh YMCA's or any area Health Department. Registrations will not be accepted before August 10, 2009.

Activity Logging: Minutes must be logged on a Walk to Win scorecard.

Non-Pedestrian Activity: For those individuals who are unable to walk, you may substitute moderate exercise for 10, 15, or 30 minute segments.

Deadline for Scorecard Submission: December 31, 2009. Scorecards can be returned in person to any YMCA of the Fox Cities or Oshkosh YMCA's location or to Calumet County Health Department, 206 Court St., Chilton, WI 53014.

Prizes: Eligible participants must average 150 minutes of walking per week to qualify for a chance to win great prizes. Scorecard must be submitted as above to be eligible.

Updating Rules: Rules may be updated, by the Walk to Win Steering Committee as necessary and without notice. Final interpretation of the rules is at the discretion of the Walk to Win Steering Committee.

Walk to Win has been developed to increase the number of people who engage in moderate daily physical activity and to provide the tools for community members to start a lifelong healthy habit.
